What's In My Fridge?

The company, Lightlife, who makes such great products as Organic Smoky Tempeh Strips is offering a giveaway for a huge amount of their products. We spend too much money on food; we need some free food around here. To enter, you have to show a picture of what's in your fridge. Here's mine! (This isn't all mine. It also belongs to my husband and 3, soon to be 4, kids.)

And the door!

Closer look at the shelves: yogurt, kids' cups, almond milk, soy milk, hazelnut milk, coconut water (which I haven't been brave enough yet to try again), and water. There's also an empty drawer I had just put in there this week, in an attempt for better fridge organization. Not sure what to do with it yet.

Next shelf: Nutiva hemp protein powder, Sun Warrior chocolate hemp protein powder, hemp seeds, Brazil nuts, pistachios, hazelnuts, flax seeds, wheat germ, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, walnuts, macademia nuts, egg replacer, sourdough spelt bread, French Meadow Bakery hemp bread, and Ezekiel bread.

Next shelf: peanut butter, PPK caesar dressing, miso, leftover cannelini beans, olives, Bubbies pickles, hummus, leftover Appetite for Reduction stew, leftover refried beans, sunflower butter, lots of 365 brand tofu, and polenta.

Below: lettuce, apples, pomegranate, a pear, lemons, zucchini, leeks, kale, cauliflower, bell pepper, a jicama, grapefruit, carrots for juicing, baby carrots, avocados, a mango, grapes...hmm, that's all I can remember without going back to look.

Oh, and look! It's Lightlife!

Giveaway ends tonight at 11 p.m. CST!
More more vegan blogging and a chance to enter the giveaway,

  1. Fun post actually. We have many of the same things - I have 3 packages of the 365 tofu right now and 2 packages of Daiya. Love cold crisp apples. I also love the Simply Orange Juice.

  6. Your fridge looks so clean and organized. Is it always like that or did you clean it for the photo. It looks the way I think a fridge should look, but mine never does.

  7. I love seeing the inside of people's fridges. It's actually a recurring feature in my zine, even though I always have the same old boring stuff. You have some awesome looking goodies AND a very nicely organized appliance.

  8. Heather, I am a lover of orange juice. And I have more Daiya in the freezer!

Sarah, I love seeing fridges, too. And our kitchen is never bare of food, although it does go pretty quickly. Thank you!

mkbrowning, thank you for stopping by to say so!

    lazysmurf, thank you!!!

    Stacy...well, glad I could...inspire?

Andrea, it's almost always like that. But sometimes it does get crowded, then messy. About every 3 weeks, the kids take everything out of there, put it on the counter, I wipe down the shelves and put it all back it neatly again. They love to do this for some reason. So we did clean it out about a week ago. When I let my fridge get messy, I end up wasting leftovers and produce that gets hidden.

Maud, I'm sure your stuff isn't boring if it's any indication of the meals/recipes you prepare. And it's a challenge to keep a fridge organized with so many hands in and out of it.

  14. Very impressive. All the best vegan stuff in there. I do store my bread in the fridge, but not my protein powder or egg replacer. Also, never saw whipped topping stored upside down.
